Welcome to Week 10! Your English teachers will be reaching out this week with different themes for our junior and senior classes. On this page you will find resources to support these themes, such as weekly reading lists, a concept map for this week’s vocabulary word, a weekly quote, and a weekly Word Ladder. Literacy Resources for Students & Families
I have created two reading lists this week to support your weekly English themes/challenges. For the Juniors, check out the Home Sweet Home Reading List. Seniors, check out the Into the Future Reading List. Try to read and write everyday for 10 minutes to improve your literacy skills!

Scholastic Learn at Home has prepared free weekly learning journeys for grades 6-9 that include videos, books to read, quizzes, and activities.
Brain Pop is an educational website for students organized into subjects. Right now access is free! Register by clicking on the Family option. Be sure to check out the English section for units on grammar, writing, study skills, and authors/books!
Khan Academy ELA Choose your grade level (2-8) and then an interactive lesson to build vocabulary and reading comprehension.
CBC Books –Canadian children’s writers & illustrators are sharing readings of their books online. Check out this list of authors who are reading their books online for students to watch & listen.
